Designing a bespoke corten water feature for RHS Hampton Court Flower Show
At RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show 2018 we were commissioned to produce a beautiful bespoke Corten water feature for Charlie Bloom’s Silver-Gilt winning show garden ‘Brilliance in Bloom’
‘Brilliance in Bloom’ had a beautiful concept, labeling itself as the show garden for the people. The garden had no corporate financial backing and offered a platform for craftspeople in small organisations to showcase their skills on a huge stage.
Our water feature used our standard design Burst in Corten, with the addition of a water blade, reservoir and carefully hidden pipes running through the back of the feature concealed in the box section which itself was wrapped in Corten, leaving a perfectly finished piece front and back.
The backdrop to the garden was designed using our Burst decorative metal panel. A simple yet extremely effective way to create a stunning backdrop to Charlie’s beautiful planting. Discover more about our decorative panels here.
Award-winning garden designer Charlie Bloom started her gardening career on a countryside estate where she later took over as Head Gardener. She trained at Hadlow to achieve her RHS The Advanced Certificate in Horticulture, Charlie then went onto create ‘Magical Gardens, Exteriors and Interiors’ with the mantra of creating unique, beautiful and magical gardens and interiors. She is considered a vocal industry leader, having several talk topics including ‘Show Gardening Madness Behind the Scenes’. Her list of talks can be found here.
